Publication Title: High fundamental frequency acoustic wave sensors for fast and non-invasive cancer diagnosis,
Communication Type: Oral Presentation
By: María Isabel Rocha-Gaso, AWSensors, Spain.
Abstract:
Acoustic wave resonators have become suitable devices for a broad range of sensing applications due to their high sensitivity, low cost, and integration capability, which are all factors that meet the requirements for the resonators to be used as sensing elements for portable point of care (PoC) platforms. In this presentation, recent advances in AWSensors high fundamental frequency quartz crystal microbalance (HFF-QCM) technology for bio-sensing applications will be introduced and insights into the European Commission Project CATCH-U-DNA, in which AWSensors is currently involved, will be provided as example of state-of-the-art developments based on this technology.
